Serious birders and outdoor lovers will love meeting up with fellow enthusiasts at the Anchorage Audubon Society. Such offerings as a "bird hotline" is available with updated information on the latest bird sitings and where they occurred in the Anchorage bowl area. The society also presents lectures and field trips led by experts who are as equally excited about the 230 species of birds spotted in the area over the past few years.

It doesn't matter if you want to watch the show or be in it, the Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy gives you the opportunity to see or be the entertainment. If you have always aspired to learn to dance classical ballet but never knew where to start, the Academy can point you in the right direction. Whether you're a child or an adult, the company will work hard to find a place for you in one of their productions or you can just learn to dance for your own sense of accomplishment. They'll enjoy some wet and wild fun in water attractions like the wave pool, the Master Blaster, huge body slides, and even experience the intensity of one of the six water cannons! If you have smaller children, there's the children's lagoon for them to enjoy some more age-appropriate fun. Also, you and the kids will enjoy floating down the 575-foot lazy river.
