The Oscar Henderson House Museum has the distinction of being Anchorage's only historic house museum. The structure was built in 1915 by Oscar Henderson, one of the city's earliest residents, and the house has withstood the changing times in a city that has undergone staggering sprawling growth from the time that this home was originally built. Inside, you'll find an amazing collection of vintage furniture, photographs, books and other pieces that have been meticulously cared for and all help recreate a time that is still very much alive when you visit this quaint but significant structure.

The Alaska Botanical Garden is a great way to get your family familiarized with the state's natural beauty in many different ways. The garden attraction is spread out over 110 beautiful acres and features over 900 species of perennials and 150 native plants that are as inviting as they are beautiful. Take the kids on a mile-long nature walk to the banks of Campbell Creek to see even more natural beauty. Don't miss the alpine rock garden, herb garden and wildflower walk, too. The Phillips 26 Glacier Tour is nearly as formidable and impressive as a glacier itself. This incredible seven-hour tour allows you to get really up close and enjoy views that you may not get on any other tour. The tour travels over 135 miles into Prince William Sound where you will see 26 named glaciers as well as many more unnamed ones. You encounter these glaciers from the vantage point of a three-deck catamaran which allows you to cover many miles of scenery on this incredible, unforgettable tour.
