Offering over 90 campsites, the area also offers fun activities like fishing, swimming and hiking as well as such comforts like bathrooms, clearly marked trails and other conveniences designed to make your camping trip the best it can possibly be.

Nature lovers love communing with nature at every opportunity. One such opportunity is an outdoor excursion on the Pinnell Mountain National Recreation Trail. This trail offers alpine-style backpacking over the course of its 27.3 miles. Along the way, you can enjoy truly stunning views of the mountains and other scenery that includes several summer wildflowers, alpine azaleas, forget me nots, and lots more.

The Fairbanks Ice Dogs is a Tier II Junior A ice hockey team with the North American Hockey League's West Division. The sports team plays its home games in the 2,200-seat Big Dipper Ice Arena in Fairbanks. The team's main rival is the Wenatchee Wild.

The season of winter isn't restricted to the months of the year, as visitors are always in for a cool experience when they visit the Fairbanks Ice Museum. Marvel at the life-sized ice sculptures carved by local artists. These incredible, finely-detailed works are all displayed at the historic Lacey Street Theater.
