The Beaver Slough Nature Trail offers a fairly easy and inviting self-guided nature trail that winds along Beaver Slough. This recreation trail is notable for the fact that it runs in amazingly close proximity to the North Pole.

The Arctic Circle Flight Adventure Tour gives you the best of both worlds. The tour departs in a small plane from Fairbanks and lands across the Arctic Circle. When you deplane, you can walk on the tundra and marvel at the treeless landscape. Once you get back on the plane for your return flight, you will see such memorable sites as the Arctic National Park, the Brooks Range and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline from the air.

An evening of dancing is a fun idea. But instead of dealing with crowds at the clubs, why not challenge yourself and your partner by enjoying an evening of swing and ballroom dancing at the Silver Spur in Fairbanks. Every Saturday night all year round, the University of Alaska Good Time Swing Dance Club hosts a dance at the Silver Spur nightclub. The music begins at 6 and goes non-stop until 8:30. Surprisingly, the dances attract enthusiasts from every age group. So put on your dancing shoes and get ready to swing out to the Silver Spur!
