Learn about African American history within the state of Arkansas at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center. The exhibits at this cultural center and museum focus on the contributions made to business, politics, and arts by African American individuals. The center explores the time periods between 1870 to present day, and sheds light on how important the African American impact has been in the state, the nation and the world.
The Arkansas Governor's Mansion was originally completed in 1950. It is a Georgian Colonial Mansion with walkways that link to two cottages with one and half acres of maintained herb and vegetable gardens.
Take a boat out for a spin, test your arm strength rowing a canoe, use the winds to your advantage on a sailboat or cast a line in the waters of Lake Maumelle. The beautiful, blue lake is a great place to spend some time outdoors, soak up some sun and enjoy your favorite water sports. Don't forget your sunscreen!
