While the works of William Shakespeare have been presented in many different styles and mediums, there's something special about the way the Southwest Shakespeare Company interprets and infuses his work with their styled and engaging performances. The entertainment company has been paying homage to the iconic writer for over ten years through an always-impressive variety of dozens of productions. The shows are put on by not only an expert group of directors and technical personnel, but also by classically trained professional actors who skillfully link the spirit of Shakespeare's original work to some of today's contemporary issues.

Some of the most daring moments of World War II can be revisited in a most spectacular way when you spend some time at the Arizona Wing CAF Aviation Museum. See attractions like some of the actual planes that were flown during the World War II era. While this facility features several noteworthy aircraft, the star of the show is one affectionately named “Sentimental Journey,” a fully restored B-17. These amazing planes have been so meticulously refurbished that many are still able to fly. Your visit will be augmented by several additional vintage memorabilia as well as photographs and a handful of exhibits.

When the weather gets really hot, take the whole family out to make a cool splash at the Golfland Sunsplash water park. In addition to some wet and wild fun on the many slides, pools and wading areas, Golfland Sunsplash is also known for its entertainingly challenging miniature golf courses, go karts and many other family-friendly attractions. The facility is also perfect for gatherings, birthday parties and corporate events.

The art of the trade is something that merchants have done for centuries. That tradition is still at the heart of the Mesa Market Place Swap Meet. Every weekend, hundreds of bargain hunters convene at this popular market which features over 1,600 vendors that bring an incredible selection of merchandise. Admission is free and the parking is, too. There are various restaurants available to offer you a quick bite before you get back to the serious business of bargain hunting and swapping.
