Walk the halls and studios of The Hirschl School and you will quickly realize why they are not in the “dance studio” business but rather in the “people” business. Located in Northeast Anaheim, the HSDA and Sunrise Ballet have been directed and supervised primarily as a place of education with their success defined by the accomplishments of their amazing students and parents.  For more than 45 years equal attention and respect has been given to all, regardless of age,  potential, or physique, providing them the opportunity to bring out the best in anyone, using proper guidance and mentorship with integrity. HSDA Students and members of Sunrise Ballet are treated and viewed as they shall become, reaching their full potential, en pointe.

Step back in time and visit The Mother Colony House located in the Anaheim Colony Historic District and one of the first buildings ever constructed in the area dating back from 1857. It is officially classified as an American Territorial Style Cottage built of redwood, with three small rooms, a single gable roof and a flaring eave which fully covers the front porch. George Hansen, a Los Angeles surveyor who built this house for his own home and office, is known today as the "Father of Anaheim.” The Mother Colony House is the oldest museum in Orange County and was designated as a State Historical Landmark. Since then it has been proudly named "A Symbol of Anaheim's Heritage," a name it has rightfully earned.
