Sharktooth Hill is famous for million year-old fossils, and many of them are on display at the Buena Vista Museum in Bakersfield. The highlight of the collection is a five star skeletal fossil that is the 10,000,000-year-old ancestor of today's flipper-footed marine mammal friends, the seal, sea lions, and walruses.

Go puck crazy with the Bakersfield Condors professional minor-league hockey team. You might remember the team's earlier years as the Bakersfield Fog. However, today this sports team is best known as the Conquering Condors, and they play their games at the city's infamous Rabobank Arena.
