Sharktooth Hill is famous for million year-old fossils, and many of them are on display at the Buena Vista Museum in Bakersfield. The highlight of the collection is a five star skeletal fossil that is the 10,000,000-year-old ancestor of today's flipper-footed marine mammal friends, the seal, sea lions, and walruses.
