Nature lovers will not want to miss the chance to explore Woodward Regional Park. This 300-acre park is home to a number of attractions. It has a multi-use amphitheatre, an authentic Japanese Garden, an extensive trail system, three children's playgrounds, a fenced dog park and several bodies of water.

Fresno hosts the annual Miss California Pageant during the summer in order to motivate and assist young Californian women towards achieving their goals. Each participant showcases her individual talents and also displays knowledge of current events, good communication skills and physical fitness.
Home to the Fresno Historical Society, the Kearney Mansion Museum can be found in Kearney Park. This historic mansion has been preserved and restored over the years, and is now considered Central Valley's most important agricultural historic site. Public tours of the mansion are available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This museum offers a great look into Fresno history.
