Since 1954 the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra has presented high-quality, live orchestral entertainment to residents throughout Fresno County. Gaze up at the stars in the middle of a modern star party, or learn about the history of stargazing.

Visit Fresno County's first park. Kearney Park is 225 acres and offers picnic and outdoor sports facilities in its day-use areas. Play a game of soccer, test your skills at horseshoe, hit a few balls at the softball and baseball fields or let the children have fun on the playground. When the heat's too much, visit the Kearney Mansion Museum for some educational fun and air conditioning.

ArtHop provides local artists with the opportunity to showcase their work-whether traditional or contemporary-on the first and third Thursday of each month. Visit the Tower District and downtown's museums, studios, galleries and other venues to see these exhibitions. Be sure to visit the local vendors who join as well.
