Home to the Fresno Historical Society, the Kearney Mansion Museum can be found in Kearney Park. This historic mansion has been preserved and restored over the years, and is now considered Central Valley's most important agricultural historic site. Public tours of the mansion are available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This museum offers a great look into Fresno history.

Although you will have to drive about two hours outside of Fresno to reach it, Yosemite National Park is well worth the trip. This national park encompasses 761,268 acres, with spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls and Giant Sequoia groves. The seven square miles of Yosemite Valley are wonderful for camping, hiking, biking and even swimming. This designated wilderness is the perfect outdoor escape from urban life.

Since 1954 the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra has presented high-quality, live orchestral entertainment to residents throughout Fresno County. Enjoy classical orchestra music or a Symphonic Night at the Movies. You may even catch an opera or attend one of the annual events, such as the wine auction and exotic car show.

Walk through the land of fantasy and nursery rhymes at Rotary Storyland Playland. Designed as Fresno's answer to Disneyworld, this small family-run amusement park attraction is perfect for children. Explore King Arthur's Castle, watch a live theater performance, unlock fairy tales with a magic key, and ride one of the 13 rides, including a Ferris wheel, train and Octopus ride.
