Taking a tour is always an adventure, but take that experience to new heights when you see it all from a bird's eye view on board the Island Express Helicopter tour. See the Long Beach coastline, rugged scenery and calming Pacific Ocean waves, among many other sights, when you cruise over the area in a state-of-the-art helicopter. Your pilot's first priority is your safety, and he will also be able to answer any questions you may have along the way.
When you need a pick-me-up, recharge in a unique way by grabbing a cup of coffee at Long Beach's Royal Cup Cafe. This shop specializes in gourmet coffee and tea as well as delicious panini sandwiches, sweet smoothies and much more. While stopping in and getting your caffeine fix on the go, you may want to make time to sit at one of the many tables and enjoy the artistically eclectic environment. Open for breakfast, lunch or a late night cup of tea, this quaint cafe gives you the chance to revitalize and recharge in a really royal way.
The Dominguez Gap Trail is located in north Long Beach where the two side-channel wetlands parallel the Los Angeles River. Walking this recreation trail offers several stunning views, including the 30-acre east basin. The trail is somewhat difficult to access, and while walking any time of year is fine, the walk proves to be even more enjoyable during the wetter parts of the year.
