Los Angeles has an overabundance of talented artists who participate in the multiple art walks scattered throughout the city. The Downtown LA Art Walk is the largest (120 square blocks!) and most popular, showcasing the best galleries, artists, vendors, restaurants and shops in downtown. Stop by every second Thursday of the month from noon until 9PM for an unforgettable experience.

Get some fresh air at Griffith Park. This huge municipal park is filled with fun activities and attractions for the whole family. See the true stars of Hollywood at the Griffith Observatory and its planetarium. Ride the miniature rails on the Stockton Terminal locomotive and learn about transportation at the Travel Town Museum. Go around the merry-go-round or get on a real pony for a safe, fun ride around the track.

Celebrate the diversity and history of the American West at the Autry Museum. The Museum contains three institutions with huge collections and multiple exhibits. The Southwest Museum contains a vast collection of Native American art, textiles and jewelry. The Museum of the American West displays many artifacts and the Institute for the Study of the American West shares its research about the area.

Take a more traditional route when wooing your loved one. Gondola Amoré offers traditional Venetian gondola rides from the North Side of Redondo Beach Pier. Glide along the water in a decked-out boat as you are serenaded by your knowledgeable cruise guide, or bring your own music. Each cruise offers a basket of fresh bread, fruit, and cheese.
