Honor the history of our local ancestors at the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum. The tribal museum traces the history of Palm Springs and the culture, lifestyle and traditions of its original inhabitants, the Cahuilla Indians. Exhibits draw from extensive collections of archeological material, art, crafts, and photographs.

Take a hike! The Indian Canyons in Palm Springs is a natural oasis with a variety of trails surrounded by lush foliage, beautiful vistas, waterfalls and creeks that run year round. You’ll experience winding footpaths that venture down into the canyon, inviting outdoor enthusiasts to hike, bike, and explore, or relax and meditate.

Spend some time outdoors and challenge yourself by climbing the Maynard Mine Trail, a rugged track that leads to the remains of an old tungsten mine that was operated by Jim Maynard during WWII. It takes time and physical endurance to trek across the 6-mile trail that overlooks the Indian Canyon, offering beautiful vistas along the way.
