The Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park is popular for many reasons, but hikers and bikers love it for its awesome network of recreation trails that crisscross and intersect which offer trails of varying difficulty, terrain type and length. There are three park entrances that offer easy access to the trails' underdeveloped landscape.

The Riverside Metropolitan Museum brings together various aspects of science and history and presents them all in a way that uniquely reflects the beauty and diversity of the area. The Fox Theatre in Riverside exudes a nearly palpable vintage charm. When you consider its history, it's no wonder that this haven for actors and performances of all kinds has a unique history and drama all its own. Initially featuring vaudeville performers, the theater soon began to screen films in the wake of the move away from vaudeville-type performances. Perhaps because of its proximity to Hollywood, this was a favorite entertainment venue for filmmakers to screen their soon-to-be-released movies for lucky audiences. The Fox holds the distinction of being the first place that Gone with the Wind was publicly screened. Various types of shows, concerts, and performances still take place here today.

Allow your kids the chance to really enjoy themselves when you take them to Riverside's popular Castle Park. This is an impressive 25-acre family fun center that features over 30 rides and attractions, one of the most memorable being a 1905 Dentzel Carousel. The kids will absolutely love visiting the two-story arcade as well as trying their luck on the amusing yet challenging 18-hole miniature golf course. And, as all this fun will work up everyone's appetites, there is an excellent restaurant on site to satisfy the kids' bellies before they head out for more fun and games.
