San Diego loves its football, and every season when the San Diego Chargers hits the gridiron, the fans pack Qualcomm Stadium to cheer their favorite sports team on to victory. The Cabrillo National Monument majestically stands in San Diego Bay. It was named after the Portuguese explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo who landed on this site in 1542. The monument is part of a complex that includes a museum that tells the tale of Cabrillo's explorations as well as those of other early explorers.
The Lyceum Theater prides itself in being a state-of-the-art, popular venue for unusual and striking arts presentations that span every imaginable style, approach and genre. This theater complex is also the home of the San Diego Repertory Theatre. The venue boasts three stages which include the medium-sized Space Theatre, the larger Stage Theatre and the small Underground Stage that all offer different types of productions and presentations.
