While The Mexican Museum's collection is relatively small, it does make up for its lack of size with its breadth of history. The exhibits cover Mexico's history from pre-conquest to the contemporary era. These visually compelling pieces of Mexican craft are augmented by the addition of various creations of art of the Americas that provide a more sweeping yet integrated perspective. Along with these compelling presentations, the museum also features an excellent gift shop in which you will surely find the perfect souvenir to remind you of your visit.

This impressive four-story structure houses what many consider to be the world's most extensive collection of fabrics. Everything from woolens to silks to couture and bridal laces can all be found here. There is also an extensive selection of cottons, linens, and various home decor fabrics that will help you finish that long-forgotten domestic project. Plus, you can have some fun with the variety of fake furs and remnants as well as handmade silk flowers, antique buttons and lots more!

One of the most essential sites to see in San Francisco is the Golden Gate Bridge. Getting up close to this amazing attraction, the kids will be able to see what an incredibly built structure this bridge is. The bridge connects San Francisco to Marin County, and if you are on the Marin side, you will get a captivating view from a spot called Vista Point. But given the ocean, the sailboats, and the natural landscape in and around the bridge, it is difficult to find a place where the view isn't absolutely stunning.

The men and women who serve on our military forces always deserve special recognition for their hard work and diligent sacrifices. San Francisco goes a step further to celebrate their efforts with Fleet Week, held every October. Families of those currently serving as well as veterans and their families are sure to enjoy the events of Fleet Week that include such attractions as an air show by the Blue Angels, Team Oracle, and the Air Force's F-16 Demonstration Team. Other events that are part of the festival include a Marine Band concert, ship tours, a fireworks display, and a parade of ships.
