Stockton was once home to a thriving Filipino culture. While many Filipinos still make their home here, the older generation may remember when they were all concentrated in the Little Manila section of the city. Today, only three buildings are still standing from what was once the largest thriving Filipino community in the United States. The stories, struggles, triumphs and contributions of the Filipino culture to Stockton's growth can be traced back here. Take a dramatic tour of the Iloilo Circle, the Dimasalang House and the Daguhoy Lodge, the three remaining structures that preserve the Filipino history quite fittingly.

The park offers plenty of great activities throughout the spring and summer that are designed to educate visitors about the plants, animals and ecosystem that all contribute to the area's obvious natural beauty. The trails remain open in the fall and winter but the Center's activities are limited to the constraints of the weather.

The store maintains an impressive inventory of classic vinyl record albums, hard-to-find cassette tapes as well as used CDs, DVDs, and memorabilia like posters and collectible items. With the arrival of June also comes the arrival of one of Northern California's premier county fairs, the San Joaquin County Fair. Everyone looks forward to this festival as it is five full days of fun, music, food and frivolity. A big-name concert is always the center point of the action, but the fair offers plenty of other great activities that include a carnival, a livestock show, plenty of fun and interactive exhibits.
