The kids will surely jump at the chance to rev it up and go when you take them to visit the Delta Speedway. This attraction is located in San Joaquin County Fairgrounds and has been in operation since 1986. This track is an 1/8 mile dirt oval that accommodates microsprint cars that kids from 5 years of age and up can enjoy. The whole family will be entertained by the rumble of these smaller-than-usual engines as they speed toward the finish line.

Chamber music is an obvious favorite of fans of classical music, but it holds an appeal to anyone who has an appreciation for melodies rendered in expertly played performances. The Friends of Chamber Music are truly committed to not only preserving this eloquent style of musical entertainment, but they also put forth great efforts to organize various performances throughout the year that consistently draw an ever-growing audience.

The Willow Slough Trail offers hikers and walkers a chance to experience the natural beauty of an ancient valley oak forest that offers one of the rarest landscapes in the state. Beaver, river otters and mountain lions as well as several types of exotic birds are the types of creatures you may be able to see on your trek. The terrain of this recreation path is dirt, dirt road and boardwalk through the valley and oak woodland.

With the arrival of June also comes the arrival of one of Northern California's premier county fairs, the San Joaquin County Fair. Everyone looks forward to this festival as it is five full days of fun, music, food and frivolity. A big-name concert is always the center point of the action, but the fair offers plenty of other great activities that include a carnival, a livestock show, plenty of fun and interactive exhibits.
