Located on the Miracle Mile, this is one of Stockton's favorite places to get a daily caffeine fix, but this unique coffee house offers much more. Choose from an excellent selection of frappes, espresso drinks, loose leaf teas, and delicious pastries. So when you're needing that extra bit of energy that only a good cup of coffee can give, opt for the impressive choices at Empresso!

Get a more detailed view of not only the country's history but of California's dramatic past as well when you visit the Holt-Atherton Special Collections. It's almost like connecting the various pieces of the area's past when you view the museum's vintage photographs, artifacts and various exhibits that all tell the story of the American West. Also, don't miss seeing the incredible collection of manuscripts, books and other historical items.

Striking out is a good thing when the whole family heads out to Pacific Avenue Bowl. This is one of Stockton's favorite places for great family fun. This bowling facility has been one of the city's most iconic attractions, as it has had its doors (and bowling lanes) open since 1958. Despite its impressive vintage, the venue offers state-of-the-art bowling, a great gaming area, snack bar and more that creates a highly comfortable environment that's safe, enjoyable and perfect for the whole family.

With the arrival of June also comes the arrival of one of Northern California's premier county fairs, the San Joaquin County Fair. Everyone looks forward to this festival as it is five full days of fun, music, food and frivolity. A big-name concert is always the center point of the action, but the fair offers plenty of other great activities that include a carnival, a livestock show, plenty of fun and interactive exhibits.
