Aurora hikers hold the Cherry Creek Spillway in high regard as it is the main connecting trail between the Toll Gate system and Cherry Creek State Park and Greenway. Hikers can access this recreation trail from the east from Chambers Road at Yale Avenue. The west access point is the Parker Road underpass for Hampden Drive.
There's nothing quite like enjoying an adventure in the great outdoors, and when you're in Aurora, the best place to have that experience is at Cherry Creek State Park. There are group camping sites available, or just enough space for you and the family. Either way, camping fees apply and they do not include the price of a park pass. The site gets rave reviews for being a safe, quiet area with lots of great amenities and attractions that include walking paths, horse stables, restrooms, jet ski rentals and even firewood for your campsite.
The whole family will enjoy a galloping good time when you visit the Paint Horse Stables. The guides who take you on your scenic horse ride are experts at making you feel relaxed as well as educating you on the finer points of guiding your horse to ensure a completely enjoyable experience. If you're a horse lover, you will love this experience. If you're not, you will be by the time your horse brings you safely back from your trip.
It takes a whole lot more than just two wheels to have a safe and fun cycling experience. For all the necessary accessories you need, wheel into Aurora's Treads Bicycle Outfitters. In addition to selling the latest bicycles, you'll find helmets, gloves and other necessary gear. Plus, the staff will make sure that your bike is road ready as they offer bike "tune-ups" that ensure that when you hit the road, you will have plenty of fun, but stay as safe as possible.
