They bring the craft of Opera to life in a way that only they can, with stories like Cinderella, The Marriage of Figaro, Otello, and Romeo and Juliet. Not only do they have mainstage performances at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, but they also explore in-person and digital initiatives outside of the opera house. They present new works annually and have a nationally recognized Artist in Residence Program that trains the next generation of opera performers. Additionally, their education and community programs reach more than 45,000 students and adults annually. Opera Colorado truly is a gem in the world of Opera.

The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park offers a breathtaking view of Colorado unmatched by any other place in the state. It is home to the highest suspension bridge in the country, which spans the 1,250-foot gorge known as Colorado's Natural Wonder. In addition to enjoying the view, visitors can also participate in exciting activities such as whitewater rafting and riding on the sightseeing Royal Gorge Railroad. The region surrounding Royal Gorge is rich in history and has many fascinating stories to tell. From fossils and Native American artifacts to coal mining operations and the construction of the Royal Gorge Bridge, there are plenty of clues to the past waiting to be explored. The geological formations that make up the gorge took millions of years to form as the river carried sediment and pebbles along the ground, carving out the vast depths we see today.

A Taste of Colorado is a four-day celebration of food that you would want to attend, especially if you're a foodie. The end-of-summer festival features mouthwatering dishes from over 50 area restaurants and 270 marketplace artisans. Once you've satisfied your hunger, you can enjoy the entertainment on six stages throughout the festival. In the past, the festival has hosted impressive performances from Bret Michaels, the Four Tops, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
