This park is also the home of the Greater Hartford Jaycees Community Boat House. Get a look at some of Hartford’s best scenery from behind a set of handlebars when you hit the West Hartford Reservoir bike trail. The recreation trail is located about 8 miles west of Hartford and starts off with a fairly steep climb of about 400 feet. From there, cruise along a ridge and take a gradual descent but you will encounter a single-track trail that requires even more attention to assure safety for both you and fellow bikers and walkers on the trail.
