Learn about who they were, what they did and how their actions still resonate today when you take a tour of the State Historic Preservation Office. This museum-style facility pays tribute to the brave men and women who pursued freedom at any cost. You will also learn about the Underground Railroad as well as the various laws that were enacted to further the cause of freedom.

The state of Connecticut is proud of the role it has played in American history, and you can delve deeper into the past when you visit the Museum of Connecticut History. The facility is housed in the same building as the Connecticut State Library and the State Supreme Court. From the state's colonial charter to the various significant events that have led to both progress and challenges, the museum presents them all in a dramatic yet honorable fashion through the use of various types of exhibits and attractions, artifacts, documents and photographs.

When Hartford has the blues, it heads to Black-Eyed Sally's. Consistently voted best in the city not only for it's incredibly spicy ribs, barbecue and other favorites, but also for the scorching live blues music that is always on the menu, too. This park was opened in August of 2006 and has been providing an excellent place for families to come and enjoy the city's comfortable climate as well as the facility's excellent amenities and attractions. These include a hugely expansive play area, an impressive playground, picnic areas, and easily accessible walking paths.
