There's nothing quite like a case of the blues. It's no fun when you have it alone, but when you get together with fellow blues enthusiasts at the annual Knology Sea-Blues Festival, the blues are most definitely worth celebrating. The two day festival, usually held in May, features a variety of regionally and nationally recognized blues artists. This event is free to the public.
Clearwater Beach is a visually stunning attraction for many reasons. Aside from its dazzlingly white sands and clear blue surf, the amazing number of people who flock to this extremely popular beach only adds to its attractiveness. Beach-goers of all ages are here, from the kids who can play in the nearby playgrounds before playing on the sandy shore, to the young adults who are not shy about showing off their beach-ready bodies as they convene at one of the many beach bars. All of this ocean-side fun consistently attracts many visitors, so be prepared for a long wait as you drive in on any of the main access roads.
Hikers love the nearly three mile trek that makes up the Clearwater Memorial Causeway Greenway. This multi-use greenway is a paved recreation trail that features gentle turns winding between the mangroves and other estuarine species as well as some visually compelling landscapes. In addition to paralleling a major highway, the greenway also offers an unforgettable view of the Clearwater Pass.
It's a screamin' good time aboard the Sea Screamer, the world's largest speedboat. Hop aboard for a one-hour cruise along the Gulf, where you'll see plenty of dolphins frolicking in the waves. The tour guides will even point out the waterfront homes of Hollywood royalty as you cruise by.
