Get an up close view of life during and after the Civil War at the Kingsley Plantation, a former estate where free blacks and private owners lived until it fell under ownership to the State of Florida in 1955. The main house and slave cabins are preserved for historical tours.

In 1965, the Friendship Fountain was the world’s largest and tallest fountain, capable of spraying 17,000 gallons of water a minute to a height of 120 feet. Accentuated by colored lights at night, it became a popular tourist destination and local recreation site located in St. Johns River Park.
