In the wake of fast-moving progress, there were several buildings in Pinellas County slated for demolition. Luckily, these places were saved and moved to this location which features two dozen structures that include a store, a church, a school, an outhouse and several private residences from yesteryear that are still very much a part of today.

It's truly a rare treat when a specific geographical area has its history captured as vividly as it is at the St. Petersburg Museum of History. Beginning with the early Native American settlers to the nation's first commercial aircraft, the stories of Pinellas County all come alive quite vividly in this highly engaging museum. You can also trace the fashions and trends of yesteryear with various period costumes and artifacts that echo historical events and pop culture moments quite distinctly. You can also see a mummy, a trolley car, and various other items that have contributed to the area's unique identity.

Cue up a great evening of fun when you meet your friends at Stix Billiards. The relaxed atmosphere and numerous tables ensure that you won't have to wait too long before you and your pals are racking them up for a game of eight ball. A great selection at the bar as well as excellent munchies make Stix Billiards a favorite hangout after the sun goes down on St. Pete Beach.

The Tampa Bay Rays are a Major League Baseball team based in St. Petersburg and are a member of the Eastern Division of MLB's American League. In 2008 they won their first division title and won the pennant. Since 2007 the sports team has had four straight winning seasons and three playoff appearances. They play their home games at Tropicana Field.
