There's no question that spending time with your significant other is an opportunity to create some truly unforgettable memories. One way to do that is to enjoy a romantic date at Spa Beach Park and renting a paddleboat for a splashy excursion. This park is located at the base of St. Petersburg Pier and is a popular site for gatherings and events. So grab your picnic basket and suntan lotion and spend some amusing, enjoyable moments with the one you love.
Want to spend a day at the beach without fighting the crowds? Then make Sand Key Park your destination for the day. These relatively quiet beach surroundings are as beautiful as they are relaxing. Beachcombers, surfers, and sun worshipers all enjoy the natural amenities of Sand Key, but the man-made amenities like picnic tables, restrooms and lifeguard stations are quite nice, as well.
They say that laughter is the best medicine. If that idea is true, then the doctors are definitely in to keep you healthy with a sizable dose of sidesplitting laughter. See some of the country's top comedians take the stage at St. Petersburg's Coconuts Comedy Club. Some of these hysterically funny modern day court jesters have been the guests of Jay Leno and David Letterman as well as fixtures on HBO and Showtime specials.
The Museum of Fine Arts houses an incredibly far-reaching collection of art from around the world that spans several historical and artistic eras. You'll encounter over 18,000 works here, and these include some of the world's most seminal creations by such artists as Monet, Renoir, O'Keeffe, Bellows and Hassaam. Additionally, you'll see some of the most compelling exhibits that illustrate Greek, Egyptian, Asian, African, pre-Columbian, and Native American art. There's also a great cafe and gift shop that perfectly round out your visit.
