Many say that the only way to change the future is to learn from our past mistakes, and that is exactly what the Florida Holocaust Museum aims to do. Instead of focusing on past transgressions and the severity and cruelty of what went on, the museum aims to underscore the spirit of perseverance and quest for freedom that these dramatic exhibits illustrate. There are various historical papers, photographs, and other objects that tell this solemn story. Perhaps the most sobering exhibit is an actual boxcar that shuttled prisoners to the concentration camps.

The Museum of Fine Arts houses an incredibly far-reaching collection of art from around the world that spans several historical and artistic eras. You'll encounter over 18,000 works here, and these include some of the world's most seminal creations by such artists as Monet, Renoir, O'Keeffe, Bellows and Hassaam. Additionally, you'll see some of the most compelling exhibits that illustrate Greek, Egyptian, Asian, African, pre-Columbian, and Native American art. There's also a great cafe and gift shop that perfectly round out your visit.

Sandcastles made of the white sand on St. Petersburg Municipal Beach seem more magical when you look out over the clear water that makes its way slowly up to the shoreline. This particular pier attracts over two million visitors a year and is actually an iconic landmark with its inverted pyramid shape that cuts into the Tampa Bay skyline. The aquarium continues it's impressive 23-year tradition of educating visitors about the importance of sustaining our marine wildlife through engaging exhibits and attractions. Marvel at the nearly 400 creatures who inhabit these incredible 17 tanks.
