Kids are accustomed to being told to not touch things. Imagine how surprised they'll be when they are actually encouraged to touch the exhibits and attractions that they'll find at Great Explorations Children's Museum! The kids will love the freedom that will allow them to explore the world around them. They'll have fun learning about music, science and art. They can even design their own car, learn about sailing or learn details about how the human body works. Kids of all ages will love both the high and low tech exhibits that are as fun as they are educational.
The Museum of Fine Arts houses an incredibly far-reaching collection of art from around the world that spans several historical and artistic eras. It's truly a rare treat when a specific geographical area has its history captured as vividly as it is at the St. Petersburg Museum of History. Beginning with the early Native American settlers to the nation's first commercial aircraft, the stories of Pinellas County all come alive quite vividly in this highly engaging museum. You can also trace the fashions and trends of yesteryear with various period costumes and artifacts that echo historical events and pop culture moments quite distinctly. You can also see a mummy, a trolley car, and various other items that have contributed to the area's unique identity.
