Head to the Historic Fourth Ward Park to practice your favorite tricks on your skateboard. This skatepark boasts the title of being Atlanta's first and was brought to the city with help from the Tony Hawk Foundation. Spend a day enjoying outdoor and indoor recreation at the Bessie Branham Park. This park has a recreation center that houses indoor basketball courts, men's and women's locker rooms, a fitness room, library, arts and crafts center, a community room, and more. If you prefer to get some fresh air, hang out at the playground or Urban Tree House outside. There is also a large green area at Branham Park where you can stage a football or baseball game.
