This very popular facility is the largest sports hall of fame in the country, and its vastly expansive collection of exhibits, memorabilia and vintage sports items has gained international attention. Among the many highlights, visitors can take part in various interactive exhibits that include a football goal, a NASCAR simulator and a basketball hoop. There's also the equally popular sports-based education exhibit section that spotlights how technology has had an indelible influence on the way sports is played and how it will likely effect its future.

Their contribution, culture and stories are all rightfully celebrated at the Ocmulgee Indigenous Celebration held every September. Music, arts, crafts, booths and games are all part of this very entertaining and educational festival. There is much to learn and experience as the gathering is held at the 12,000-year old Ocmulgee National Monument.

High Falls State Park Trails consist of three trails of varying lengths and difficulty. These recreation trails actually provide access to the falls and the historic natural areas of this park. This loop trail is rated easy to moderate as it stretches out 2.3 miles with a gain of 140 feet in elevation. This particular trail is open all year round and offers hikers the chance to see everything from prime fishing spots, spring flowers, fall foliage and bird migrations.
