A great time brightly booms every year at Macon's International Cherry Blossom Festival, held every March. This is a city-wide celebration that lasts 10 days and brings together several popular activities for the whole family to enjoy. There are arts and crafts, hot air balloons, live music, special exhibits and lots more. And, fittingly, it all happens against the backdrop of more 300,000 Yoshino cherry trees!

This attraction is an incredible slice of history that documents over ten millennia of Southeastern Native American culture. Theatre Macon offers some of the area's best theatrical productions that include an impressive entertainment schedule of comedies, dramas and musicals in an appealing and intimate setting that draws the audience into the action in a very special way. Established in 1985, Theatre Macon produces six major productions a year that range from classics to recently written work. When you're here, it isn't just to see a show--it 's more like meeting up with a group of long lost friends!

Nature lovers enjoy the freedom of the outdoors. They love it even more when they spend time at an attraction as beautiful as the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail, too! This winding trail features some of Macon's most beautiful natural surroundings as well as unusual views of some of the most famous sites in the city. This hiking and biking trail also welcomes causal walkers and stretches out comfortably over the course of its .9-miles.
