A great time brightly booms every year at Macon's International Cherry Blossom Festival, held every March. Lake Jackson, or Jackson Lake as it is sometimes referred to, is one of the oldest reservoirs in Georgia. Located in southeast of Atlanta in a rural area, the lake is so expansive that it is situated within Jasper, Newton and Butts counties. On of the most stunning features of the lake is the Lloyd Shoals Dam that was built in 1910.
