Since 1901, the Missouri State Fair has showcased all the favorite concerts, animal exhibits and competitions, homemade crafts, shows and foods of the Show-Me State for local residents and out-of-town (or state) guests. See the African American influence on America’s favorite pastime at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. This unique specialty museum opened in 1990 with the mission of preserving this rich history. Learn about African American baseball players from the late 1800s to the 1960s as you tour through the multimedia displays, photographs, artifacts and attractions.
