Whether you want to swim, splash or just doze by the poolside, the Springs Aquatic Center is the perfect place for single people or entire families to have some fun in the sun. This aquatic recreation hot spot holds almost one million gallons of water in its pools, slides and playgrounds.

The Phoenix Jazz Club has thrived like its namesake since 1888. Located in the corner of downtown, the Phoenix was once a shady hotel, rumored to be more of a bordello and complete with a speakeasy saloon. Nowadays, this jazz club is known for its classy, relaxed nightlife atmosphere and is a great place to listen to the smooth tunes of a live band with friends.

Catch one of the three mixed repertory seasons the Kansas City Ballet puts on each year. This 25-member professional ballet troupe has called Kansas City home since 1957. Visit KC’s destination for dance and see an excellent show, including the ever-popular Nutcracker.

Visit one of the oldest Missouri traditions. Since 1901, the Missouri State Fair has showcased all the favorite concerts, animal exhibits and competitions, homemade crafts, shows and foods of the Show-Me State for local residents and out-of-town (or state) guests. Spend one day or all eleven days of the festival taking in the best concerts and events of the season.
