Topeka's Civic Theatre & Academy for the Performing Arts is both a source of inspiration as well as an arena to develop young talent. The entertainment venue features several programs that spotlight family-oriented activities and positive learning experiences. This popular outlet for artistic expression appeals to visitors of all ages and features a significant number of live events on its stage throughout the year.
Enjoy a bowling experience that is as classic as it is contemporary when you go for the game-winning strike at Topeka's Gage Bowl. This popular bowling facility features a cool retro charm while offering state-of-the-art scoring and an equally impressive video game arcade. The menu items and drink specials are equally appetizing, too!
The MacLennan Park Trails are located in northwest Topeka and offer some of the area's most stunning scenery as the recreation trail runs along the hills overlooking the Kansas River. There are two types of trails here–a limestone loop and a series of dirt single track hiking and biking trails. Access to the trails is available on the south side of the park on 6th Street, west of Fairlawn Road, as well as on the north side of the park on the west side of the Governor's Mansion.
