With nearly 500,000 guests walking through its gates annually, the zoo's staff works hard to make sure that your visit will be as fun as it is educational.

As the first inhabitants of the area, the stories, traditions, and culture of the American Indian is sometimes forgotten, but the Mid-America All-Indian Center works hard to preserve it all and its mission is to continue to pass on knowledge of this culture to future generations. The museum does a more than admirable job of this, as evidenced by the various classes, exhibits and lectures that are on the schedule year round.
