Combining classical masterpieces as its soundtrack, such notable productions like Alice in Wonderland, Swan Lake and La Boheme are presented by some of the area's most accomplished performers. Their skills are only accentuated all the more by the stellar musicianship of their accompanying orchestra, the sets and backdrops that help tell the story, and the tireless work of many stage managers, costumers and directors. The treasure hunt is on every day at the Museum of World Treasures! Both highly educational and extremely fun, see such famous world treasures as T-Rex's bones, Egyptian mummies, and various artifacts from important points in military history. Chivalry is not dead! At least it's not at the Great Plains Renaissance Festival. Mark your calendars for the second week in October and be there to see knights and fair maidens take over Sedgwick County Park. You'll feel like you've traveled back in time as you explore a medieval village, with authentic costumes on display, antiquated entertainment, and lots of great food and family fun.
