Shreveport's Mudbug Madness Festival all started when people began to view the people in Shreveport more as Texans than natives of Louisiana. In response to that erroneous perception, a group of citizens wanted to stage the largest crawfish boil in the downtown area, add lots of music and fun, and reinforce the Cajun culture and attitude in the city. What started as a two day festival has become a four-day tradition that happens every Memorial Day Weekend and draws as many as 56,000 people in one day.

Skydiving is a sport that so many have enjoyed for so long, and Louisiana Skydiving has made it possible for so many divers to have a safe, fun and thrilling experience every time they ascend to the skies.

Great rides, an excellent place for parties, and a surprisingly delicious menu all make Splash Kingdom Water Town the place for lots of great family fun and water recreation. And even though the older kids will enjoy the bigger slides, the younger members of the family will enjoy the wading pools and play areas.

Carrying the tradition of performing arts from generation to generation is the primary goal of the Theatre of the Performing Arts. Aside from putting on various stage productions, the theater also makes education another high priority, as students, members of various civic organizations, and other clubs all take part in programs that foster a continued interest in taking center stage.
