Artbreak takes place every April and May. Students from Bossier and Caddo Parish take part in several hands-on art projects and also serve as judges for the various pieces that are completed. This festival is a weekend of dance, music, theater, food, fun and even a 5K race.

The Robinson Film Center isn't just a place to watch movies. It is a portal to the future of film making in Shreveport, with special programs designed to create interest and awareness in the art of movie making and all that goes into their production and marketing. Various summer camps, lectures and seminars are held to bring this fascinating field to those interested in developing their talents in front of or behind the camera. Also, the Robinson Film Center does offer the chance to screen new releases, which sometimes include artier films that don't get shown in the commercial multiplexes.

Various facets of history all intersect at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum. From artifacts of some of the state's most high-profile figures to pieces from prehistoric life in the area, the dramatic sweep of these collected stories is breathtaking. The Louisiana State Exhibit Museum is a Smithsonian affiliate museum and features 18 world renowned dioramas and rotating exhibits. Science, technology, culture and history intertwine here, and the stories that they tell will give you a deeper sense of understanding and appreciation of what the state's founding fathers went through. Admission is always free and the museum is open seven days a week.
