Take a look back in time at the Nichols House Museum, one of the oldest homes in Beacon Hill. The house was built in 1804 and purchased by Dr. Arthur Nichols in 1885; the house stayed in the family until the death of the doctor's daughter, Rose Standish Nichols, in 1960. As can be imagined, the family accumulated many things throughout the years from art works to furniture, oriental rugs, and other furnishings and antiquities. You're invited to experience early American life inside the walls of this historic home.

Rent a canoe or kayak from the South Bridge Boat House for a day of fun on the water. Set sail on your excursion and explore the waters of the Assabet, Sudbury, and Concord rivers. If you don't feel like piloting your own adventure, look into enjoying a river cruise aboard a pontoon boat.

Step inside the home of an original patriot at The Paul Revere House. The home dates back to the 1680s and is still outfitted as a home back then would be; 90% of the structure is original. Paul Revere lived here during the same time period as his famous “Midnight Ride,” where he warned patriots that the British were coming. Shortly after this infamous night ride, the opening shots of the American Revolution were fired.
