Experience an excursion in Harvard Square, a commercial and recreational center for Harvard students, city residents and visitors. Along with being a hub for arts and entertainment, and home to a number of attractions, shops, eateries, and places to stay, The Square is also a historically significant location. It was here that George Washington took command of the Continental Army, it is where the first printing press in America was located, and it has also been the grounds for many student protests – among many, many other things.

The whole family will appreciate the entertainment produced by the Wheelock Family Theatre. Classic stories like Peter Pan, The Sound of Music, Pippi Longstocking, The Wizard of Oz, and Charlotte's Web have wowed audiences here. Keep an eye on the theater's schedule, you never know when your favorite fairytale will come to life!

Explore an important piece of our naval history at the USS Constitution Museum. Interactive galleries, exhibits and attractions tell the story of the undefeated, centuries old USS Constitution. Some exhibits include All Hands on Deck: A Sailor's Life in 1812, and Old Ironsides in War and Peace.

Hang out at the Blue Hills Reservation for some outdoor sports and recreation fun. The reservation isn't too far from downtown Boston, and offers a variety of invigorating activities, including camping, fishing, non-motorized boating, hiking, rock climbing, softball, and swimming. There's also ice skating and skiing during the winter months.
