Since 2000, the Movement: Detroit Electronic Music Festival has existed in one incarnation or another on Memorial Day weekend. As its name states, DEMF brings together musicians and DJs who produce some of the best electronic music in the nation. Located in the Hitsville U.S.A. building, this unique museum displays costumes, photos and records from Motown's successful era and shares the legacy of the record label, its artists and its music.

See all the sights as you travel on the Detroit People Mover, an automated transit system that encircles 2.9 miles downtown. These driverless vehicles run on an elevated light-rail system and are an excellent way to get around the crowded Detroit streets. For only 75 cents, you can quickly get to your next destination or you can just ride the rails and take in the best views of the city!

Love basketball? Come by the Palace of Auburn Hills to see the Detroit Pistons rule the court. Treated like royalty by their loyal fans, this sports team has won three championships since joining the NBA in 1948, most recently in 2004, and has numerous conference and division titles under their belt.
