Paramount's Carowinds Water and Theme Park manages to pack an incredible variety of fun activities over its 105 acres that offer a little something for everyone. Their name combines "Carolina" and "winds" to perfectly describe a place that celebrates the history and culture of the Carolinas. It also offers plenty to do, as the water park features several waterslides for various age groups. In addition to the water park, there are also over 100 rides and attractions as well as a musical review in one of the park's theaters.

The team is based in Charlotte and is currently a franchise in the South Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League. The Panthers play all of their home games at Bank of America Stadium, which is also the team's headquarters. The team has an overall record of 125-143 and played in Super Bowl XXXVIII.

The Afro-American Cultural Center in Charlotte is a great place to walk along together and take in some truly unique art and various types of exhibits. The center is an innovative epicenter that celebrates the triumphant spirit of the African American experience. One of the many dramatic exhibits tells the story of the role of African-Americans during the Revolutionary War through various artifacts and displays. The Spirit of Our Ancestors exhibit connects various aspects of life during that period in history to the plight of this minority group.
