There are several opportunities for the whole family to make a big splash when you venture out to Bismarck's Super Slide Amusement Park. Race down the super slide, chase each other around in bumper cars, go for a spin around the carousel, or take a whack at a baseball in the batting cages.
North Dakota's Native American influence is strongly linked to the area's history in many ways. That connection is celebrated in a highly memorable fashion every September at the United Tribes International Powwow held in Bismarck. The festival takes place at the Lone Star Arena at United Tribes Technical College and is considered to be one of the premier cultural events in the state. Over 70 tribes are represented, and each one is celebrated by over 1,500 dancers and drummers. The event attracts over 20,000 spectators who all convene for the Powwow to watch the “Champion” dancers and singers that travel to Bismarck from all over the United States and Canada to compete for top honors.
