Escape to the Eagle Rock Reservation in Essex County. This forest reserve and park takes up more than 400 acres of land in this densely populated metro area. Housed in the oldest and longest continuously operated synagogue in the city, the Jewish Museum of New Jersey represents what was once the sixth largest Jewish community in the US. Inside this museum, you will find a large collection of historic manuscripts, art, clothing, tools and various other artifacts.
