Located just minutes away from the heart of downtown and all of its attractions, Branch Brook Park is a gorgeous retreat in the middle of an urban landscape. Wander through its 360 acres of sprawling meadows and woodlands. All ages are welcome at the Branch Brook Roller Skating Center, a state-run roller-skating rink in the park. Come for a skating lesson, watch the Garden State Rollergirls practice or just enjoy some fun public skating. Perfect for parties and themed events, this skating rink is open seven days a week during the daytime and evenings, as well as several late night events each week just for the adults.

The Grammy Award-winning New Jersey Symphony Orchestra can most often be found playing in the NJPAC, when not touring the rest of New Jersey and other states to showcase their nationally recognized talents. Since 1922, this symphony orchestra has had headquarters in Newark, drawing in some of the country’s finest musicians to this city.
