Shidoni Arts creates art while being a work of art in and of itself. This stunning sculpture gallery is worth the ten-minute drive north on Bishop's Lodge Road to Tesuque Valley where the Shidoni Gallery is located. The expertly manicured grounds of the gallery are something truly amazing to behold, and you can stroll around to take in the amazing sculptures displayed there that lead to a calming, babbling brook. Depending on the time of your visit, you can actually see sculptures being poured in the working foundry.
Santa Fe's Center for Contemporary Arts continues its longstanding mission of identifying, promoting and presenting the work of visionary contemporary artists who are both emerging and established in their creative endeavors. When a friend recommends a bar or restaurant, you tend to agree with them to a certain extent. But when a place gets high marks from an impressive source like International Newsweek magazine touting it as one of the world's best bars, you tend to pay even more attention. Santa Fe's Dragon Room is a nightlife destination that deserves all the kudos it has amassed, as the venue is both a stylish and comfortable place to relax and have a few drinks. The bar is also associated with the Pink Adobe restaurant and that team-up makes it the city's ultimate destination for dinner, wine and cocktails.
Visiting the Tesuque Pueblo attraction is very much like time traveling. You will see how this little "pueblo," or small town went about its everyday business through the work its inhabitants did in order to provide for their families. You'll see an organic farm, traditional pottery studios and various other interesting stops. This pueblo dates back to 1694 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You may want to learn more about the standard pueblo etiquette before your visit.
